Onward and Warmward :)

After a hearty 10 days in the small Avéron-Bergelle, it is time for us to say "good bye". Although it is sad to leave these places that have been our onlyyy surroundings for a while and all the friends we've made, I know that it is time to go on...!
Mary and Neil were kind to us from the minute they picked us up from the station. At first we weren't sure how well it was going to work out because of all our differences, but in the end things came together- as they always seem to do.
Mary and Neil are going back to England for the winter in a couple days, so all the work we've been doing is in preparation for that. Clearing off every shelf, cleaning it, mouse proofing the contents, and then repacking it just as Mary likes. Cleaning alllll her flower pots  (empty and full), and bringing them into the garage. Covering all the plants. Cleaning the entire house, top to bottom! Washing, ironing... Etc, etc, etc. Anyway,  there's no use in complaining now... We did all the work, and we did it well!
Mary is a person who, at times, is one's best friend, laughing and talking; but the other times aren't so easy. It was very difficult for me to figure out what she wanted from us...but once I realized that that wasn't what my intent should be and that I had to exactly what was asked of me and when, I was able to be happier.
Workaway (the organization) says that the workers should do an average of 5hrs of work a day, 5 days a week. On our 3rd day here Mary asked us which days we wanted off. When those days came around she found a way to always get us working and running around for her, despite (and in spite of) any kind of standing up for ourselves we tried.
We had some hard times, but finally got to go out and spend some fuuuun times with the locals the past couple days (feasts, and sh*t loads of alcohol)!
On to Toulouse, France today....
Catch up again soon!
